Kenneth R Alleyne, MD, FAAOS
The shoulder has the largest range of motion of any joint in the body. This tremendous motion also puts the shoulder at risk for injury. When this occurs you may require professional evaluation and treatment of your shoulder condition. AT EOSM, Dr.Alleyne has undertaken subspecialty training in problems of the shoulder, sports medicine and knee. We partner with a team of local professional including physical therapists, athletic trainers, professional trainers, coaches and specialists in nutrition to return your shoulder to a desired level of function.
The shoulder is complex joint made up of tendons, ligaments, cartilage and a lining known as the capsule. These structures work together to allow you to participate in activities of daily living as well as sports and work. When a patient begins to note pain in the shoulder with daily or sporting activities, sleeping at night or doing simple things like reaching or putting on a jacket it is likely that your shoulder should undergo an evaluation by a shoulder specialist if these pains persist.
Dr. Alleyne utilizes the latest non surgical techniques like PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and Physical Therapy.
