Directions to Hospital


 

Manchester Memorial Hospital

71 Haynes Street, Manchester, CT 06040

From Hartford (from I-84 East)

  • Take I-84 East to I-384 East.
  • Take Exit 3 (Route 83, Downtown Manchester) and take a right at the end of the exit ramp.
  • Follow Main Street through the business district for approximately two (2) miles until you reach the light for Haynes Street. Turn left onto Haynes Street.
  • The hospital is located on the right at 71 Haynes Street. Visitor parking is available on the left (across the street from the hospital). 

From Boston (from I-84 West)

  • Take I-84 West to Exit 63 (Route 30)
  • Take a right off the ramp onto Deming Street.
  • Proceed less than a half mile, then take a right onto Oakland Street (Route 83).
  • Continue about one mile; take a right at the light onto North Main Street (will still be on Route 83).
  • At the next light, take a left onto Main Street (will still be on Route 83).
  • Proceed about one mile. Pass the Middle Turnpike intersection, then take a right onto Haynes Street. The hospital is just ahead on the right, with visitor parking on the left. 

Parking

  • Parking for visitors is free and available as indicated by signs around the hospital. Escort service to your car is available upon request. 

Visisting Hours

  • General Visiting: 12 noon - 8 p.m.
  • Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Cardiac Care Unit (CCU): Five minutes, once an hour, 24 hours a day by family members only.
  • Pediatrics: 2 - 8 p.m. Parents and grandparents may visit any time. A parent wishing to sleep over can do so.
  • Family Birthing Center: 3 - 4 p.m. and 7:15 - 8 p.m. Fathers and grandparents may visit any time. Fathers may sleep over if they so choose.
  • Mental Health: 5 - 7 p.m.

 

Rockville General Hospital

From I-84 (East or West)

  • Take I-84 to Exit 67.
  • Follow Route 31 North toward Rockville.
  • At the intersection of Route 74 (at the traffic light), take a left.
  • The hospital is approximately a half mile ahead on your left.
  • Blue hospital signs clearly mark the way from the highway to the hospital. 

Visiting Hours

  • General Visiting: 12 noon - 8 p.m.
  • Intensive Care Unit (ICU): Five minutes, once an hour, 24 hours a day by immediate family members only. Special exceptions to this schedule may be made for the immediate family members of critically ill patients.
  • Pediatrics: 12 noon - 8 p.m. Parents and grandparents may visit any time. A parent wishing to sleep over can do so.
  • The Birthplace: Fathers and immediate family members may visit at any time day or night. Fathers may sleep over if they choose to do so. Friends may visit at the new parents' convenience, during daytime hours. 

Valet Parking

  • Free valet parking is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to patients and visitors. An RGH security guard will park your car in a reserved space in a patrolled lot near the hospital. Car keys are maintained by the security staff at a secure location, and the staff will quickly retrieve your car when you are ready to leave the hospital.
  • Security guards will also assist patients arriving for a scheduled surgery or emergency care and rehabilitation or outpatient tests and treatment. 

Self Park

  • If you prefer to park yourself, parking for visitors is free and available as indicated by signs around the hospital in the following areas:
  • In the fenced lot on the corner of Union and Village Streets.
  • Adjacent to the hospital's Bissell Building (West Main Street entrance).
  • A parking area for emergency patients is available next to the emergency entrance. Parking attendants are immediately available to assist you.
  • Handicapped entrances and spaces are located next to the emergency department at the outpatient entrance and at the rear hospital entrance.

From Interstate 91 Northbound And Southbound 

Take Exit 32A to Interstate 84 Westbound. From Interstate 84 Westbound, take Exit 48, Asylum Street. From exit ramp, take right onto Garden Street. At second traffic light, take left onto Collins Street. Follow Collins Street for six blocks. At light, take left onto Woodland Street to hospital entrance on left.

For the Emergency Department

Follow the directions above to Collins Street. Follow Collins Street for 5 blocks and take a right onto Atwood Street and the first left onto Ashley Street. The emergency room is in the John T. O'Connell Tower on the right side of Ashley Street.

From Interstate 84 Westbound

Take Exit 48, Asylum Street. From exit ramp, take right onto Garden Street. At second traffic light, take left onto Collins Street. Follow Collins Street for six blocks. At light, take left onto Woodland Street to hospital entrance on left.

For the Emergency Department

Follow the directions above to Collins Street. Follow Collins Street for 5 blocks and take a right onto Atwood Street and the first left onto Ashley Street. The emergency room is in the John T. O'Connell Tower on the right side of Ashley Street.

From Interstate 84 Eastbound

Take Exit 46, Sisson Avenue (a left exit). From exit ramp, take right onto Sisson Avenue for four blocks. Take right onto Farmington Avenue. Follow Farmington Avenue for four blocks. Take left onto Woodland Street. Follow Woodland Street for three blocks to hospital entrance on right.
